Hotel Moc
Hotel Moc offers great hospitality and great location, perfect for ski enthusiasts and families. The rooms offered are a mixture of traditional Japanese and western, but it's not as immersive of a cultural experience as a traditional ryokan. Despite this, the rooms are spacious and brightly lit, and most offer great views over the mountains.
The hotel houses a small in-house restaurant as well as a ski rental service right in the lobby, and there's lots of communal spaces for guests to get to know one another or relax and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi. All of these spaces are warm and intimate, and while the furniture might be a bit dated, they offer cosy and homely spaces for all guests/ The service at Hotel Moc is said to be the highlight, with each and every staff member going out of their way to assist you in making your holiday fantastic. Discounted ski lift passes are available for purchase, and the front desk staff with help you in organising adventures around town and transport throughout Myoko. The hotel also houses a ski storage and drying room free for guest use, as well as free parking available for those who want to rent or bring their car.
The hotel's location, though, is the kicker. All guests need to do to start their day is step right out the front door and begin their day - located right at the foot of the slopes with easy access to both beginner and advanced ski runs. After a day on the slopes, guests are encouraged to unwind in either the indoor or outdoor onsens, and make use of the sauna in the hotel, too.
