Hotel Alpen Blick is a cool family hotel, which opens up to you a good Japanese experience. The hotel's prime ski-in and ski-out location, natural hot springs, and huge evening buffet spread is exactly what Japanese ski fanatics are crazy about, and this will be the majority of the guests at Alpen Blick.
Rooms are comfortable and spacious for Japanese standards, with a total of 78 rooms, and 70 of these a western/Japanese combination room type. Guests will enjoy the comfort of two western beds and a Japanese tatami area with small sitting table, great for families. Alpen Blick also offers brand new Trailer Cabins, which are a unique self-contained option for guests wanting to enjoy the unbeatable location but without the bustle of a hotel. The 'Suite' Trailer comes with breakfast & dinner at the on-site restaurant 'DAN', as well as free use to the private sauna, made by reservation.
There is another restaurant, Tatra, just next door to the hotel which also doubles as the local beer brewery - Myoko Kogen Beer brewing up three varieties: pilsner, dark lager, and weizen. Enjoy the buffet spread in the evenings with a mix of Japanese and western dishes and of course flowing beer! An "all-you-can-drink" beer special is usually available for 1,500 yen while you have your meal, enquire with staff on site.
This hotel is at the base of Ikenotaira ski resort, one of Myoko's four major ski resorts. This resort is connected to others by scheduled shuttle bus, or you can choose to take a taxi. If you ever get tired of hot springs and delicious buffet spreads at the brewery in the evenings, you can opt to take a short taxi into Akakura Village, the main tourist village at the base of Akakura Ski Resort.

Natural Onsen
The Hotel Alpen Blick’s hot spring is a rare local and natural source of milky “black mineral” water, well known for aiding with skin problems, nerve tension, and rheumatism. The hot springs are separated into male and female, with both indoor and outdoor baths. The outdoor bath is the natural and unfiltered milky black water, and the indoor bath is clear, sediment-filtered hot spring water. Make sure you try this authentic Japanese experience during your stay!
*In winter, a wall is installed in the outdoor bath to prevent freezing. Please note that you cannot see the outside view.
