Nozawa Onsen

Over Nozawa Onsen’s 100+ years as a ski resort, the village has grown to accommodate all kinds of guests,  most  properties  are  predominantly  Japanese  style,  with  western  hotels and  apartment complexes  being  the  minority.  Take  in  the  warm  hospitality  and  minimalist  ambience  of  the Traditional Japanese décor, offered in Japanese style properties.

Japanese  accommodations  are  with  woven  tatami  mat  flooring,  and  traditional  futon  bedding, rooms may have no facilities, a private toilet only, or a full ensuite. But not to worry, with plentiful hot  springs  around town,  you’ll  be  wandering  from  one  to  another,  and  you  will  hardly  have  time for  an  in-room  shower.  Western  rooms  with  beds  are  few  and  far  between,  and  apartment  style accommodations are even more difficult to come across.
