Nozawa - Ski Passes
Take the hassle out of buying your tickets when you arrive at Nozawa Onsen and instead pre-order your lift tickets. We will send you a voucher, you print this out and simply then present this at the resort lift window stations and then you’re ready to go.
Please Note: This pass does not cover night skiing and therefore if you wish to ski at night then you will need to purchase a Night Ski Pass. The vouchers and lift tickets are non-refundable and non-replaceable under any circumstances, therefore please take care of your vouchers and tickets at all times.
A 2% service charge with a minimum of 1,000 yen is incurred to reservations for lift passes without ski resort accommodation booked through Ski Japan Holidays.

Salomon Station at Nagasaka Gondola
Pre-book your ski and snowboard equipment and have on offer a huge range of new and well-kept equipment, with the option to trial the latest model demo skis and snowboards, best jackets and pants the Salomon Station is a one stop shop. The Salomon Station at Nagasaka Gondola offers our guests the convenience of leaving your skis at the rental shop at the end of your day on the slopes and then you can collect it the following day on your way to the mountain, this way one can walk to and from their Nozawa Onsent hotel accommodations without having to carry your rental equipment.
St Anton Equipment Rental
Rental Ski & Board Haus St. Anton – Nozawa Onsen
Conveniently located at the Hikage ski slope, Rental Ski & Board Haus St. Anton is one of the most accessible and family-friendly rental shops at Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. Right on your doorstep, you’ll find the ski school, information centre, and day care facilities – making it the perfect starting point for your day on the mountain. The shop also offers direct access to the Nagasaka ski area via the Naski snowmobile.
Our friendly and experienced team is here to ensure you and your family are fitted with the right equipment for a safe and enjoyable day on the slopes. With an extensive range of skis and snowboards, we cater to all ages and ability levels – from first-time beginners to advanced powder enthusiasts.

The Nozawa Onsen Ski School is steeped in history, prestige and tradition and proudly continues to spread all the necessary skills ones need to learn to enjoy the pleasures and adrenalin of skiing and snowboarding. High level instructors are sourced from all of the world and are endeared with not only great teaching skills but also taught the traditions and history of Nozawa to ensure you are given the best experience possible. With a full range of clinics, programs and classes let us show you the best of Nozawa while you're on the snow.
Backcountry Tours
Seek out Nozawa’s best powder amongst the back country terrain, with highly experienced English-speaking guides. With small groups of similar ability level, you’ll have a blast exploring all the powder peaks Nozawa has to offer.
Price: 20,000 yen for full day tour
Meet time & place: 8:00am at Nagasaka Gondola Base Ski School
Includes: guide fee, beacon, shovel, probe
Please bring: lift ticket, lunch, back country pack, poles, snowshoes (hire available)
Eligible: 13 years and older, (13-19 years must have signed permission from parent), intermediate ski level or above, moderate or higher fitness level.
Additional Costs Lift tickets are not included in the price of the tour. Please wait until the morning of the tour to purchase lift tickets so that the guide can advise you on the type of ticket required. Rental equipment is an additional expense if you do not have your own gear.

Insurance Insurance is not included in tour so we recommend ALL tour participants have travel insurance.
Note a certain level of fitness is required to go out into the backcountry and you need to be aware that hiking through snow, often heavy and deep powder snow will be required.

Snow Monkey Hotsprings Tour - Nozawa
The Snow Monkey Tour is an unforgettable way to spend your afternoon whilst in Nozawa Onsen. The world famous Jigokudani Wild Monkey Park is home to about 200 wild monkeys who spend their days soaking in the natural hot springs, keeping warm from the harsh winter. The park was opened in 1964 and is considered to be the only place in the world to see snow monkeys bathing in the wild. The hike to the hot-springs takes approximately 30 minutes each way.
The tour departs Nozawa Onsen at 1pm, allowing you to spend the morning skiing and have an early lunch before gathering for the tour. The tour will drive just over an hour to the Snow Monkey Park, before returning to Nozawa at 5pm.

Infants 0-3 years: Up to one infant per adult free of charge; child rates apply from the second infant
