Nozawa Onsen Ski School
The Nozawa Onsen Ski School is steeped in history, prestige and tradition and proudly continues to spread all the necessary skills ones need to learn to enjoy the pleasures and adrenalin of skiing and snowboarding. High level instructors are sourced from all of the world and are endeared with not only great teaching skills but also taught the traditions and history of Nozawa to ensure you are given the best experience possible. With a full range of clinics, programs and classes let us show you the best of Nozawa while you're on the snow.
Group lessons are an enjoyable way to work on your skiing or snowboarding in a social environment, Nozawa Onsen’s ski school instructors will have you improve your stability, skills, and confidence in no time! Group lessons are only available for certain levels, please see explanations below. Up to 8 students per class.
ADULTS: 15+ YEARS
- Beginner (first time on snow) & Novice (can turn on gentle slopes)
- Ski & snowboard offered
CHILDREN: 7-14 YEARS
- Beginner (first time on snow) & Novice (can turn on gentle slopes) & Intermediate (can challenge some steeper terrain)
- Full day lessons include lunch meal

INFANTS: 4-6 YEARS
- Beginner (first time on snow)
- Full day lessons include lunch meal
- Skiing only
Meeting Point: Check in at the Ski School at Hikage slopes next to the information centre, arrive at least 15 minutes prior. Not Included: Lift Ticket, Rental Gear, Lunch

Private lessons provide a fun environment alongside careful instructions so you can get the most out of your lesson time. Your qualified instructor will take you on the most suitable ski runs for your level, and with helpful advice and encouragement, see your skills sky-rocket. Up to 8 people can join with one instructor. *Up to 6 participants for premium full day lesson.
