This cute and cosy ryokan, the traditional Japanese inn, is ideal for budget travellers, offering affordable and high quality accommodation that suits skiers and explorers alike. The rooms are traditionally Japanese, each featuring beautiful décor and plenty of space, and the large communal areas of the hotel are, too. The hotel offers twelve Japanese rooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom and the essential amenities.
Guests are free to use the indoor onsens as well as lounge around in the tea room. This means you'll likely get to know the owners, the staff and the other guests, and will make your holiday one to remember. The small restaurant serves breakfast as well as dinner each day, offering great traditional Japanese cuisine to all guests. The ryokan is located only a five minute walk from the mountain access and is very close to the town's centre, so you definitely won't be stumped for choice when it comes to dining.
There are ski storage and drying room facilities available to skiers, as well as laundry facilities free for guest use in the communal areas. This makes it ideal also for those looking for an extended stay. The ryokan owners have a beautiful cat, who can be found throughout the hotel, but it's better to steer clear if you've got an allergy. If you don't, on the other hand, you might be able to get yourself a cuddle from feline staff member.

Onsen & Spa
Nozawa Onsen is famous for its flowing natural hot springs which are said to heal sore muscles, nerve and joint pains. Take a long soak and revive your weary body after your day on the slopes. Whilst the waters are quite hot, and you may not be able to soak for a long time, multiple baths per day is the recommended way to get the most out of the nutrient rich waters..
