The Schneider Hotel
Planted right on the slopes of Nozawa Onsen’s Hikage Ski Area, Schneider Hotel is the ultimate ski-in ski-out hotel right on the ski resort. As such, the hotel can’t be accessed by car - they provide a free over-snow shuttle service the day, or for those wishing to explore the nearby village, a scheduled shuttle runs daily from 5:15pm to 10:15pm, making it easy to also enjoy the rest of what Nozawa Onsen has to offer.
All rooms are newly built, and adaptable by allowing guests to choose between twin or queen beds, ensuring flexibility and comfort for couples, friends, or families. The Loft rooms come with their own ensuite and are great for families or groups. The Japanese-style rooms don’t have ensuites and utilise the Japanese-style bathhouse, a great way to wind down after hitting the slopes all day.
Inside the hotel, the Base Camp Bar provides a welcoming spot to warm up with après drinks, cocktails, and bar snacks by the open fire, creating the perfect end to a day on the mountain. For meals, the Schneider Restaurant offers a hearty Western-style breakfast buffet, and a delicious lunch and dinner menu – you can pop in after catching the first tracks.
For even more convenience, there is a Shirakaba Rentals shop located within the hotel, along with high-speed internet, dry room facilities and free laundry usage. This hotel has thought of everything to make your experience as smooth as possible.
