This family-owned-and-run ryokan is situated just a short walk both from town and from the slopes, positioning guests perfectly to enjoy both the ski life and cultural life of the area. For many, this will include visiting the numerous onsens throughout town and having a bite at a few of the renowned Japanese restaurants. The ryokan itself is cosy and welcoming and is a perfect example of ryokan hospitality.
The rooms are a mixture of Japanese and western rooms, each fitted with basic amenities and plenty of space by Japanese standards. They're all also privy to some lovely natural light and some have fantastic views, too. Some rooms are fitted with ensuite bathrooms, while most guests will make use of the communal bathroom in the ryokan.
The ryokan offers a lovely naturally heated and mineralized onsen; perfect for unwinding after a day in the snow, as well as a traditional restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. There are both Japanese and basic western dishes available, meaning there will be something for everyone available.
The ryokan has ski storage and drying facilities as well as a coin laundry for guests to use, meaning extended stays are not an issue. With the friendly staff and owners and their dedication for ensuring that your holiday is enjoyable, you'll definitely want to stay here for a while!

There is also a television and a safe for guests to use, and a heater to keep you comfortable.If lounging on the floor isn't your thing, there's also a small sitting space with some armchairs. These rooms also feature plenty of natural light and large windows, many of which also provide some great scenic views. There is no ensuite bathroom attached, however, and guests will need to make use of the communal bathroom.
