Tomamu Onsen Guide

There might not be anywhere to party to unwind, but there are definitely a whole lot of ways to unwind at Tomamu that are a little more relaxing. Mina Mina Beach is one the country’s largest indoor wave pools, and a gorgeous sight within itself, located within walking distance or a short trip on the shuttle bus. Open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily throughout November to April, Mina Mina Beach is also attached to a stunning open-air naturally heated onsen, Kirin-no-Yu, which overlooks the Tomamu forest and is a perfect place to relax and unwind.

The Risonare houses two large spas, both in the North Tower, offering perfect massage services completed by trained professionals, as well as more luxurious treatments such as facials and aromatherapy. You won’t miss out if you’re staying in the Tower Hotel, though, with Le Celebisu Spa and Thai Massage Tocoyo both open for guests. In addition, there’s the Relaxation Salon Shimukappu, housed by the Tower Hotel, too. Most of the spas will require reservations, but they’re well worth planning for and are a superb way to loosen your muscles after a long ski day.
