Naeba Getting Around
If you’re staying at the Prince Hotel, you won't have any issues getting around, as you’ll be only a short walk from the slopes and with numerous restaurants, spas, childcare centers and shops right at your doorstep you probably won’t have to leave. Those located further out from the slopes will likely have to walk. There are local buses that won’t burn a hole in your pocket, too, to get around those distances that are just too far to walk. The nearby Tashiro resort, offering high quality snow and open, is connected via the Dragondola, the world’s longest ropeway, and is around a 15-minute trip with fantastic views throughout the whole journey.
Naeba ATMs, Bank & Cash
The closest ATM for Naeba Prince guests is right inside the hotel itself. Alternatively there is a post office with an international ATM, open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays. It is located 1km from the Naeba Prince over on route 17, next to the convenience store.
Naeba Shopping
Naeba is well serviced with shops, ranging from convenience stores to souvenir stores. There is a small food supermarket open in the summer and winter seasons that sells a range of food – in case the 20+ restaurants didn’t serve enough for you. There is a convenience store offering great snacks and general goods, including cigarettes and alcohol that is closed Wednesdays and Thursdays, and a dedicated souvenir store that offers cute memorabilia and gifts as well as some snack foods that closes on Thursdays. There is also a gas station in town as well as a post office, meaning everything you could need is within walking distance.

Naeba Onsen Guide
Naeba is located just 45 minutes from the onsen town of Yuzawa, and if you like a good soak in some beautifully heated water you’ll definitely want to make the trip over. You can also pay a visit to Mitsumata to visit Kai-do no Yu if you’re looking for a truly Japanese experience. This is probably be a lot more relaxing and less busy, too, offering a great spot to truly unwind.
If you’re only visiting for a few days, though, don’t stress – The Prince Hotel has an indoor onsen and an outdoor onsen open to both guests of the hotel and to visitors for a small fee, as well as a fantastic sauna, day spa and massage service.
