Hakuba Valley being the premier collection of ski resorts in Japan offers a wide range of accommodation options throughout the valley. The heart of the Hakuba Valley is Happo One Ski Resort and by far the most popular location to be based. The most popular villages/areas for Hakuba Valley accommodation for international visitors are Wadano, Happo and Echoland.

Here the majority of Hakuba's deluxe accommodation is located, Hakuba's biggest ski school and lots of new developments

Upper Wadano
Sakka Base, Happo’s best base facilities, lots of apartments and new developments.

Middle Wadano
The big hotels of Wadano are Tokyu Hotel and Mominoki Hotel , and access road to gondola and to Kokusai parking.

Lower Wadano
Mostly self-contained chalets and houses.  Phoenix Hotel and Double Black are the major hotels in the area. Beware of the uphill walk to the slopes.

Happo Village
The Happo Village spreads out across Happo and connects with Wadano area.  The village has mostly hotel style accommodation and areas in the village include the Happo Gondola, Happo Central Village, Nakiyama slopes and Happo Bus Terminal. With a good range of dining options for après ski, Happo is one of the most popular places to stay in the Hakuba Valley along with Wadano.

It is located between Happo and Hakuba 47, serviced by shuttle buses to nearby resorts.  Echoland offers a good mix of accommodation, restaurants, shops and bars. Self-contained properties are available from basic cabins to deluxe apartments and chalets.

Goryu village is mostly made up of smaller lodges with a few larger western style hotels. Scattered through the village are a handful of restaurants and bars.

A small village with a range of budget to mid-level accommodation located nearby the resort itself.  5-10 minutes’ walk away another smaller hamlet with more traditional Japanese pensions and accommodation

Tsugaike is a 15 minute drive from central Hakuba, a sprawling village with mostly mid-range and budget hotels popular with the younger Japanese market. The village offers quite a few dining options as well as a couple of bars, and an excellent place for those learning to ski and snowboard.

Hakuba Alps Hotel is the main slope-side property in Norikura, however there is also a scattering of other lodge and pension style accommodations on offer. A small offering of restaurants to eat out at in the Norikura area.

Hotel Green Plaza Hotel is the resort hotel for the Cortina Ski Resort.  Ski-in-ski-out and over 250 rooms within the hotel.
