Hakuba Yamano Hotel
Looking for somewhere with impressive views, the Yamano Hotel is situated right in front of the Hakuba Olympic Ski Jumps and conveniently just two minutes up the road from the Happo ski area lift access. Comfortable rooms with warm friendly service, it consists of 24 rooms, both western and Japanese are available. Family rooms can be arranged with lofts with twin or triple bedding in the main section of the room and then with a lofted area upstairs in the room, which works well with kids
This hotel is great for families, groups and those who don't want to spend too much yet still have good quality rooms and meals and at convenient location. Packages can be booked with breakfast and dinner, breakfast or no meals, widely known for its generous meal portions, as the owner is a former famous Japanese Sumo wrestler who loves to feed his guests. All the Japanese favourites are available on the menu such as shabu shabu, sukiyaki, nabe the hotpot and much more. The hotel's restaurant serves mainly Japanese and French cuisine and also has a large bar selection of wine and some very impressive Japanese sakes, too.
Friendly English, French, Italian, Hungarian and Romanian speaking staff, overall another good valued property. A great place for your next ski holiday and complimented by wonderful hosts providing friendly service and warm hospitality.
The Yamano Hotel is also on all of the regular ski shuttle bus stop routes so other than skiing down at Happo, nearby bus stops also provide access to Hakuba 47 and Goryu as well as Iwatake and Tusigaike. For those wishing to ski at other resorts along the likes of Cortina, Norikura, Sanosaka and other resorts in the Valley then the hotel can easily arrange to have you driven to the Happo Information Centre which is only five minutes down the road and here all the ski resorts buses come and collect from.

The room can comfortably sleep up to five people, two on the twin single bedding on the lower floor and three extra on futon bedding on the tatami space in the upper floor.Alternatively, the tatami area can be used as a traditional dining area, with tea and coffee making facilities provided to guests. The room is also equipped with a television with English channels as well as with Wi-Fi access for your entertainment, and each is attached to an ensuite bathroom complete with bathroom amenities.
