The Westin Rusutsu Resort
This hotel tower, boasting over 200 rooms, easily caters for any guests - the rooms available can sleep up to seven and can just as comfortably accommodate a romantic getaway for two. The hotel's facilities also mean it's a great destination for both families and friends, with a variety of shopping and entertainment.
The location of the hotel also makes it an ideal choice - the snow is only a short trip away by twin ski lift, while all guests are also welcome to use the facilities of the neighbouring Rusutsu North & South Wings. The tower itself, though, houses a gym, hot spring and sauna as well as wide variety of gift and ski shops that are open almost all day, meaning you'll have to look hard to find a reason to leave.
Each room is fitted with the necessities in terms of entertainment and functionality - they are all equipped with a kitchenette, Wi-Fi access, a lounge and LCD television as well as a safe and all come with their own large bathroom. The décor is modern, comfortable, inviting and warm, and this is accentuated by the ample natural light. Rooms also offer Westin's high-quality "heavenly beds," with five specially designed pillows to choose from for a comfortable sleep.
Dining here is a breeze - the tower holds a traditional Japanese restaurant as well as a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and all guests are more than welcome to dine at the nearby North & South Wing building, opening up the possibility for variety for extended stays. All the restaurants in Westin Rusutsu follows the hotel's "Well Being" movement, which includes "Eat Well." There are many nutritious and healthy foods served at the buffet breakfast every morning.
Kids will love the nearby snow activities as well as the resort's arcade room and wave pool while adults are sure to enjoy the stunning powder, great runs and, after a long day, perhaps a visit to the outdoor onsen with its breathtaking view over the west mountain of the ski resort.
