This hotel tower, boasting over 200 rooms, easily caters for any guests - the rooms available can sleep up to seven and can just as comfortably accommodate a romantic getaway for two. The hotel's facilities also mean it's a great destination for both families and friends, with a variety of shopping and entertainment.

The location of the hotel also makes it an ideal choice - the snow is only a short trip away by twin ski lift, while all guests are also welcome to use the facilities of the neighbouring Rusutsu North & South Wings. The tower itself, though, houses a gym, hot spring and sauna as well as wide variety of gift and ski shops that are open almost all day, meaning you'll have to look hard to find a reason to leave.

Each room is fitted with the necessities in terms of entertainment and functionality - they are all equipped with a kitchenette, Wi-Fi access, a lounge and LCD television as well as a safe and all come with their own large bathroom. The décor is modern, comfortable, inviting and warm, and this is accentuated by the ample natural light. Rooms also offer Westin's high-quality "heavenly beds," with five specially designed pillows to choose from for a comfortable sleep.

Dining here is a breeze - the tower holds a traditional Japanese restaurant as well as a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and all guests are more than welcome to dine at the nearby North & South Wing building, opening up the possibility for variety for extended stays. All the restaurants in Westin Rusutsu follows the hotel's "Well Being" movement, which includes "Eat Well." There are many nutritious and healthy foods served at the buffet breakfast every morning.

Kids will love the nearby snow activities as well as the resort's arcade room and wave pool while adults are sure to enjoy the stunning powder, great runs and, after a long day, perhaps a visit to the outdoor onsen with its breathtaking view over the west mountain of the ski resort.

Onsen & Spa

Westin Rusutsu Resort Onsen

The Westin is home to a stunning onsen, featuring both an indoor and outdoor pool which looks out across the landscape and ski hill. Both of the warm onsens are open to all guests both in the morning from 6 - 9 a.m. and again in the afternoon from 2 p.m. through to 1 a.m.
The onsen is a great way for everybody to relax and unwind. The mineralised waters have been said to be effective in aiding the treatment of skin issues, tight and sore muscles, inflexibility as well as other health problems. Nothing beats an evening soak in the warm water after a long day in the snow, and the one-of-a-kind outdoor onsen which looks over the beautiful slopes of west mountain at the resort.

Day Spa Averara

Using the highest quality products and staffing talented, experienced professionals, the in-house spa offers services including facial and full body treatments. The spa is open only to women over the age of 18, but if you meet this criteria, this is a must visit during your stay.
The treatments are paired with light massages or heavier, therapeutic oil massages and work to rejuvenate, refresh and heal the body as well as relax the mind.

Shopping

Quilting Bee

It’s not often you’ll find a quilt store in a resort, but at the Westin, nothing is unexpected. The quilting store is located on the ground level and is open late into the evening, selling all kinds of quilting supplies as well as a range of pre-made items.

Winter Tale

If you’re looking for a souvenir to take home to your friends or family, you need not look any further. This shop is the hub of all things a tourist needs – snow globes, key chains and knick knacks that make the perfect memorabilia.

Welcome

Don’t be afraid of the resort’s somewhat remote nature – everything you could need is sold right here at the convenience store. From food to snacks and much more, the store is open late into the evening to ensure you’ve always got what you need to enjoy your holiday.

Herringbone

Just to ensure you definitely haven’t forgotten anyone’s present, the Westin houses two separate gift stores, Herringbone being the second. This shop stocks a wide variety, again, of small gift items and memorabilia perfect to take home as a souvenir.

Owners

It wouldn’t be a ski resort without a sports shop! Owners, open late into the evening, stocks a wide variety of both ski equipment and gear as well as items used in other sports. You need not worry if you forget your gloves or your goggles – you can pick up a new pair without even leaving the resort.
