While this hotel may not showcase modern design, it more than makes up for it with fun, excitement, and unbeatable convenience. Situated just steps from the slopes—almost ski-in, ski-out—it offers an array of amenities designed to delight guests of all ages.

The hotel is a destination in itself, featuring multiple on-site restaurants, both indoor and outdoor pools (including a wave pool), a full-service spa, a steaming onsen, and a vibrant activity centre. Adding to the charm is a lively shopping plaza, a classic game arcade, and even a whimsical carousel—perfect for families and nostalgic adults alike.

Rich in traditional Japanese elements, the hotel reflects the region’s authenticity, as it remains relatively undiscovered by mass tourism. Yet, it comfortably caters to international visitors seeking familiar comforts, including Western-style rooms and cuisine.

Accommodation options include spacious Western-style rooms and traditional tatami rooms, all featuring large bathrooms, comfortable bedding, and ample space. Rooms on higher floors offer breathtaking views of the snow-covered landscape—and for some, a direct view of Mt. Yotei, Hokkaido’s very own Mt. Fuji.

This resort is especially ideal for families, offering plenty of kid-friendly activities, themed decorations, family-oriented rooms, and diverse dining options that include international favorites. Thanks to its off-the-beaten-path location, prices for food, excursions, and amenities remain refreshingly reasonable.

Although somewhat remote, the hotel provides everything you need on-site, including a fully stocked shopping plaza and convenient transport options. Staff members speak excellent English and are known for their warm, helpful service at reception, the spa, and concierge desk.

From the upbeat pop music playing throughout the day to its nostalgic 1980s décor and retro arcade games, this resort delivers a one-of-a-kind experience in Japan. Whether you're here to hit the slopes or simply explore all the resort has to offer, you're in for a truly memorable stay.

Onsen & Spa

South Wing Bath House

The tower’s bathhouse is open morning, afternoon and night for all guests, offering calming heated onsen-style water to both help soothe aching muscles and aid relaxation.
The waters have been said to help assist with the healing and treatment of stiffness, soreness, digestive issues and chronic skin diseases. Paired with a visit to the spa, an afternoon in the bathhouse will provide the ultimate holiday relaxation experience you need.

Shopping

Olde World Carnival

It’s not uncommon to feel as though you’ve just stepped into another world when you enter the shopping district of the resort – it’s something otherworldly that seems as though it belongs more in Disneyworld than it does in Japan’s ski mountains.
Despite this, the energy, warmth and playfulness of the shops are appreciated, as is their huge variety and quality goods. Everything from Christmas decorations to souvenirs to groceries can be purchased from the many shops here, and you could easily spend a whole afternoon browsing the offerings.
Don’t let the appearance put you off – it’s for big kids as much as it is little kids. There are stuffed animals and alcohol, china and glassware, paper dolls, ski equipment and chocolate all on offer.
