Mountainside Otake is a perfectly situated ryokan in between the heart of Nozawa Onsen town and the Yu Road moving walkway, offering guests great access to the ski slopes and the town's renowned activities such as restaurants and hot springs. This charming ryokan combines the comfort of modern amenities with the warm, inviting feel of a traditional Japanese ryokan.

Each room contains tatami flooring and either futon or western bedding depending on the room type, catering to different preferences while still retaining a traditional ryokan feel. Rooms are small and designed to occupy only two guests in each, so it is great for couples or groups of friends who don’t need to share a room altogether. Breakfast is Japanese and all rooms have no ensuite so guests will utilise the well-kept shared Japanese bathhouse, both of which are great cultural experiences while enjoying your stay.
