The Powdersuites are the benchmark for winter ski chalets offering modern contemporary fittings and furnishings with open layouts and vaulted ceilings and exposed timber beams giving an earthy feeling whilst being totally surrounded with all of the modern comforts one would expect from properties of this calibre.
Architecturally designed and built by master craftsman Michael Baker, a long term resident and recognized as a dominant figure in building design and influence in Hakuba. Mr. Baker has created a unique body of work whereby the Powdersuites feature a sense of unity and privacy which are in harmony within their surroundings, offering free flowing space and natural light and synthesising it all together with plush carpets and modern soft furnishings.
The four individual Powdersuites' townhouses rise up out of the snow and into the light offering their guest's superb views of the Hakuba Valley and all of its charms and they all share the freedom of being freestanding thus offering total privacy and impressive natural views.
Located nearer to Hakuba 47 than Happo but easily still within the Hakuba Valley, the Powdersuites are within a short 5 minute drive of the Happo Village or the Hakuba Town and just two minutes short of Hakuba 47 or Goryu Ski Resort. Each of the Powdersuites comes with its own 8-seater 4WD vehicle so make sure you bring with you your international drivers licence to take advantage of this.

Perfectly sized and equipped for families or small groups of friends, Powdersuites is made up of four unique, modern townhouses, each with its own distinctive design and perfect location. Despite the unique design, each of the apartments are similarly equipped, each featuring two spacious bedrooms with western style bedding, an open plan living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.The two bedrooms offer king or twin single bedding, and each features spacious built-in robes for storage as well as large windows with lovely views that will make waking up each morning a delight. The townhouses are fitted with a spacious ensuite bathroom, too, offering a deep tub to relax in, and all of the essential amenities provided complimentarily to guests. Guests are also treated to laundry facilities, making an extended stay a breeze. Of course, there's underfloor heating throughout the apartment for comfort, and free Wi-Fi is available across each of the luxurious townhouses to ensure you're entertained.
If Wi-Fi isn't enough for you, you might enjoy the spacious lounge area, fitted with an LCD television with satellite access, a DVD player and Apple TV. Also offering comfortable couches and a beautifully warm atmosphere, the lounge is the perfect spot to cosy up with the group after a long day. The lounge area is located in the open-plan space, sharing the room with a large dining area for six and opening into the modern, fully equipped kitchen. Despite the ideal location for eating out, you'll be tempted to cook up some feasts while you're here, too.
No detail has been looked over in any of the townhouses; each and every one offers a stunningly beautiful, inviting ambience. Attention has been paid to décor, with gorgeous artworks and sculptures scattered throughout the house, and modern, high-quality furniture has been chosen to ensure your stay is luxurious. Of course, the townhouses are all lined with large windows and throughout the day each space is brightly lit and airy, accentuated by the high ceilings and large, open plan design. They're all slightly different; however, meaning you're sure to find the design and the style that you love in one of them.
