Naeba Prince Hotel
A sprawling landmark nestled into the foot of the slopes; the Naeba Prince Hotel offers all of the necessities in a convenient location. Easily accommodating large groups as well as small, the hotel has hundred of rooms ranging from twins to suites, all of which feature lovely views and all of the expected amenities. The sheer size of the hotel can be overwhelming to some though, and if you're looking for a cosy and intimate experience you're better off skipping this one.
Featuring a huge 23 restaurants scattered throughout the four wings, Naeba Prince offers a huge variety of food from across the world as well as lovely bars, cafés and lounges to relax in. While the food isn't as cheap as you'd find it in town, the choice is large and you're almost guaranteed to find something you enjoy. The hotel also offers a buffet breakfast for an additional charge which features international cuisine as well as beverages.
Naeba Prince has a large offering of activities and entertainment, with each room fitted with satellite television and Wi-Fi accessible in some of the rooms as well a kids play rooms, table tennis and billiards and classes that run throughout the week focusing on crafts. Many of these need to be booked in advance though, so plan ahead! For the adults, the hotel offers a traditional onsen, a sauna and a range of massage and beauty therapies, all of which will cost a little extra and also need to be booking in advance. However, if you plan your relaxing day in advance you're sure to enjoy it.
The hotel staff speak limited English and while they will attempt to help where they can, there is little communication. The hotel as a whole is grand, but its age is showing and there are many signs of wear and tear that can become obvious if you're looking for a luxury getaway. The décor is a little dated, too, but overall the rooms and the facilities are comfortable and accommodating.
If you're looking for a good ski trip, though, you can't go past it - huge dumps of snow and ski runs sprawling from the hotel doorsteps, and ski lessons and rental offered by the hotel as well as the standard ski inclusions of storage, tuning and waxing all available to guests.

The Naeba Prince Hotel has a room for everyone - throughout four wings of the hotel there are rooms to meet every person's needs. Ranging from a s standard twin through to royal suites, and interconnecting twins, each room features an ensuite bathroom and amenities, television, and lounge space. Some have been recently refurbished and look very modern, and some have hardly been reworked since constructed. All rooms are with large windows that create space and airiness as well as some lovely views.Many of the rooms can be connected, too, meaning the hotel can easily accommodate for larger groups or for families. However, the larger rooms with more beds only get more space rather than more luxurious amenities. The lounge spaces are larger and more seating is included, but the furniture, inclusions and design are all relatively the same. Ask your reservation consultant to assist you to find the perfect room for your needs.

The sheer number of people at the hotel can mean that the small space can get a little busy at times, and the staff are somewhat strict about the onsen rules. Despite this, the onsen is always a perfect way to unwind and, paired with the hotel’s sauna, massage services and beauty salon, you can easily relax your day away or warm up after a day in the snow.

If you fall over and scrape your knee though, they’ll definitely be able to help out.
