Pure Nagasaka
Pure Nagasaka is an ideal destination for both ski enthusiasts and those who'd like an experience of authentic Japanese hospitality. While it's not flashy, the ryokan is affordable, well maintained and offers great facilities to all guests. There are a range of Japanese and western style rooms, each with television and Wi-Fi access and, of course, heating. Guests use shared bathroom facilities, but with a total of ten rooms they don't get too crowded.
The ryokan also has a cosy dining hall that offers meals for breakfast and dinner for guests. The food is mainly Japanese cuisine, but there are a few western options available at breakfast. The hotel also features a ski storage and drying room for the skiers of the group, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located in an ideal position to explore both the slopes and the town, only a few meters from the bus stop into town. And, unlike most ryokans, no curfew is enforced so you can spend a little extra time out in the evenings. Free Wi-Fi is provided to guests but, like most Japanese hotels, it can be a little unreliable and works best in public spaces.
