Taizan offers affordable, high quality accommodation, with family friendly amenities as well as great services for skiers. The rooms offered are both Japanese and western, very spacious and well kept. Each is fitted with an ensuite bathroom, in room heating and a television, and each room offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.
Located only six minutes from the slopes, the hotel is also a great option for ski enthusiasts, and ski storage and drying facilities are available, as is a shuttle bus that loops through Myoko. Families will also feel very welcome at the ryokan, with games rooms and children facilities as well as children and infant dining options available at the in-house restaurant.
There are plenty of large communal spaces as well as lounge areas in the rooms, each with a warm and comfortable atmosphere, offering a great place to unwind as a group or to get to know other guests. Taizan also offers indoor and outdoor onsens as well as a sauna, making it perfect for skiers after a long day in the snow or for guests who just like to treat themselves to a little tranquility.
The ryokan features communal laundry facilities, too, and breakfast and dinner are served daily with a prior reservation. There's also a convenience store housed in the hotel, making snacking easy, and internet access is available in the communal areas of the hotel.
All guests are made to feel welcome, and the English speaking staff are incredibly helpful with planning and organizing your holiday. Guests are also provided with yukata robes to top off the cultural experience that you certainly won't forget.

Taizan offers both large and small traditional Japanese rooms and, as you'd expect from a ryokan-style hotel, the rooms are beautifully decorated and culturally immersive. Each features tatami flooring throughout, rice paper window block outs and wooden panelled ceilings as well as plenty of space. The rooms feature a dining space and some coffee/tea making facilities as well as in-room heating and air conditioning. All of the rooms are also equipped with a television and a safe, and the larger rooms also feature a small seating space with some armchairs beside the window. In-house Onsen
The ryokan features both indoor and outdoor onsens, each segregated into men’s and women’s sections and each filled with beautifully warm, naturally mineralized water. The onsens offer a perfect after-ski relaxation, and massage services can be arranged through the reception if you’re feeling like pampering yourself. The outdoor onsen is a traditional rotenburo and sits amongst lovely greenery during the summer months and beautiful snow in the winter, while the indoor onsen overlooks large windows with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The hotel also features a sauna in the communal area that guests are free to use throughout the day, making relaxation at Taizan a very easy task.
