Hakuba Hotel Ougiya one of Hakuba's quality 3 star properties located within the Happo Ski Village. Here if there's one thing that stands out against all of the other properties in its class, is the food is spectacular! The head chef and owner of the hotel has spent much of his time in the Swiss Alps and having served as the head chef for the Swiss Embassy in Tokyo really knows how to please ones palate. This is a warm comfortable hotel, with comfortable lobby lounge with fire-place and great open bar, perfect for apr'es drinks on those cold snowy ski nights. With both well styled Western and Japanese rooms on offer, natural hot springs, ski rooms and wonderful service, the Ougiya is a place well worth recommending. Located 10 minutes walk from the closet ski area at Happo, they provide complimentary shuttle services to Happo, which is then just over 2 minutes away and all of the other resorts as well.
